Application of dielectric heating in the removal of model compositions from shell molds in the production of cast blades for gas turbine engines. Part 2
Abstract
Removal of model masses from ceramic shell molds is one of the most difficult technological operations in the production of gas turbine engine parts using the lost-wax method. This review focuses on the potential of using dielectric (microwave) heating as a promising method for removing models. Unlike traditional methods, this approach eliminates the necessity of a heat transfer medium, as the heat is generated directly within the ceramic mold. The second part of the review explores experimental work in this area.
