Abstract

The structure, chemical composition, and magnetic properties of (PrDy)(FeCo)B microwires were studied after vacuum annealing and localized laser irradiation. It was shown that laser irradiation of amorphous microwires causes localized changes in composition, including a decrease in the rare-earth element content in the irradiated zone, whereas in the polycrystalline state, the composition remains virtually unchanged. Vacuum annealing leads to crystallization of the material and transition from a magnetically soft to a magnetically hard state with an increase in coercivity and magnetic anisotropy.
